INTERLANG is an approved agent of the University of Cambridge for BULATS, the internationally recognised language assessment service.
BULATS is a modern and innovative method for evaluating languages, developed by the University of Cambridge, which provides solutions for professionals, companies and institutions seeking accurate verification of language expertise in recruitment processes, or of participants’ progress on in-house language training programs.
BULATS assesses the communicative skills required in real professional situations. It evaluates the four areas of language knowledge (listening and reading comprehension and spoken and written expression) in four languages, whereby an assessment may be made of the professional’s level of language ability for use in international situations.
BULATS may be taken wherever or whenever required. It is available as a Standard (pencil and paper) or Computer Test.
BULATS is a straightforward test to perform and the results are made available quickly (immediately in the case of the Computer Test). No special staff or installations are required for the test.
The results’ report issued by the University of Cambridge states its correspondence with ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) and with the Framework of Levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
BULATS tests have been created by prestigious European centres of learning: Cambridge University (ESOL), Alliance Française, Goethe Institut and Salamanca University, and they are in line with the official European standards (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
